January 23 - Great Lakes Scows of New Zealand - Manitowoc, Wis.
Singer, sailor, and storyteller Tom Kastle will share photos and first person accounts of these unique scows, followed by a maritime concert featuring traditional sea music. details

February 27 - Great Lakes Shipwreck Festival - Ann Arbor, Mich.
Programs feature a variety of sessions on Great Lakes shipwrecks, international dives and technical diving and equipment, as well as a variety of book signings and exhibits from local maritime artists, the Dossin Great Lakes Museum and local dive shops. details

February 27 - Annual Photo & Art Show - Port Huron, Mich.
An annual photo and art show at the Great Lakes Maritime Center includes an amateur maritime photo contest with prizes. details

The Ghost Ships Festival brings together top Great Lakes maritime historians, authors and divers from throughout the country.  The festival includes films, workshops and seminars devoted to shipwrecks, diving and maritime history. details

Explorer Jim Kennard will share a video and details of how he located the 229-year-old British HMS Ontario in Lake Ontario. details

March 13 - Shipwrecks 2010 - Welland, Ontario
This one-day symposium on shipwrecks will feature multimedia presentations with internationally renowned speakers from both the United States and Canada. details

March 13 - Marine Museum programs – Manitowoc, Wisc.
Author Bob Jacobson will talk about the important role Ole Evinrude played in the history of Wisconsin. Also a program on woodcarving including woodcarvers and finished works of art. details

March 20 - U.S. Lightships and the Huron – Manitowoc, Wisc.
History of U.S. lightships from speaker Bob Walkner, followed by a short film tour of the Huron lightship, which is now a museum ship in Michigan. details

6 p.m. featuring Sam Buchanan presenting a program on the history and mailboat operations of the J.W. Westcott Co. details

May 7- May 8 - Mackinaw Maritime Festival Location - Mackinaw City, MI
Honoring those who lost their lives or survived the sinking of the Cedarville in 1965. Tours of USCGC Mackinaw #83 Maritime Museum. New USCGC Mackinaw will be on hand for the event. details

May 19 - May 21 - Lighthouse and Freighter Cruise - Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.
Two-day cruise aboard the Keweenaw Star from Marquette across Lake Superior, down the St. Marys River, overnight in the Soo, across the top of Lake Huron, down Lake Michigan to Charlevoix. The boat will provide photo opportunities at twenty lighthouses and all the vessels in the busy shipping lanes along the way. Due to bus availability, this event is limited to the first 46 people who make reservations. details
