Once again we are pleased to offer the Boatnerd Badger Gathering. Don't miss this year's fun cruise.

The Annual Boatnerd Badger Gathering will be in warmer weather in 2012. A round-trip crossing of Lake Michigan from Ludington, Michigan to Manitowoc, Wisconsin on Saturday, June 9, 2012, aboard the Lake Michigan Carferry SS BADGER. No price increase for 2012.  Join us in traveling aboard the only coal-fired steamer left on the Great Lakes. Visit the Wisconsin Maritime Museum in Manitowoc and see the operating restored forward engine from the legendary railroad ferry Chief Wawatam, and the WWII submarine Cobia, OR re-board the Badger for a two-hour Wisconsin shoreline cruise with live entertainment and a party buffet.  Special Boatnerd round-trip is only $75.00 per person.  Optional Friday night, June 8, Badger Boatel - $75.00. Stay overnight in a Badger stateroom. Staterooms sleep two at the same price. Includes breakfast buffet on Saturday morning. We need a minimum of 20 room reservations for Friday night, in order for this option to be available. Only 42 staterooms are available. Boatnerds will be the only passengers sleeping on the boat.  Optional Saturday Wisconsin shoreline cruise - $40.00. Re-board the Badger in Manitowoc for a two-hour Wisconsin shoreline cruise that includes complimentary Badger Party Buffet and a live band.  Optional Wisconsin Maritime Museum tour - $10.00 per person Boatnerd rate. (Pay at the museum.) Tell them you are a "Boatnerd". Downtown Manitowoc and the museum are only a 2-block walk. Schedule Events   Friday, June 8. - Optional Meet at the Badger. Stay overnight in a Badger stateroom. Boarding is between 8:00 and 10:00 p.m. Possible tours of the Badger pilothouse and engine room. Meet your fellow Boatnerds and exchange stories and pictures. You may keep the use of your stateroom until one hour before arriving back in Ludington Saturday evening. Only 42 staterooms are available. Make your reservation now.  Saturday, June 9 9:00 am (ET) - Depart Ludington aboard the Badger 12:00 pm (CT) - Arrive Manitowoc. Walk across the bridge to the Wisconsin Maritime Museum or downtown. OR Re-board the Badger for 2:00 – 4:00 pm (CT) - Optional Wisconsin Shoreline Cruise aboard Badger 5:00 pm (CT) – Depart Manitowoc aboard Badger. 10:00 pm (ET) – Arrive Ludington  Important Information .Reservations must be received no later than Saturday, May 19, 2012. Checks for the full amount must accompany each reservation. Checks will be cashed on Monday, May 21, and cancelations after this date may require a cancelation fee. If we do not receive enough reservations to activate the Badger Boatel, we will refund that portion of your reservation.
