	2nd annual Boatnerd Gatherings Duluth September 6 - 7, 2002

A weekend of boat watching and touring is planned for September 6-7 in Duluth.

The weekend starts on Saturday with a Harbor Cruise aboard the Vista Fleet. The fleet's tour boats will take us up close to all the boat watching action in port.

Other planned events include opportunity to visit and tour the museum ships Meteor and William A Irvin.

All events are very informal with participation optional in specific events.

Friday, September 6
Superior Midwest Energy Terminal tour. Tour the coal dock where ships load. *cancelled.
No other formal events, casual boat watching on the entry pier. Look for your fellow boat watchers with their Great Lakes & Seaway Shipping hats or shirts.	All day depending on the traffic
Saturday, September 7
St. Lawrence Cement terminal tour. View the harbor from the top of the cement silos. *cancelled.
Boat watching on the entry pier.	All day
Tour the museum ships William A. Irvin and Meteor. The Irvin sailed for U.S. Steel from 1938 to 1978 and is open today as a museum ship on Duluth's waterfront. The Meteor is the last "Whaleback" freighter in existence.	All day
Canal Park and Lake Superior Maritime Visitors Center tours.	All day
