at the Lock 3 Visitors Center
Visitors center and viewing platform are free to enter. *There is a small charge to
tour the museum. The museum is offering a 2 for 1 admission price for those

| Things to Consider |
Be sure to bring warm
clothes, will fall in full swing it may turn chilly.
The Welland Canal is a favorite spot among the boatwatchers. A viewing platform is
located at the Lock 3 Visitors Center. There is easy access by car from Lock 1 to Lock 7
on Government Road, convenient for chasing ships up and down the canal. It takes only a
few minutes to drive from Lock 1 to 7. |
| Other Ideas |
- A short drive north will take you to Port Dalhousie, the end
of the second canal.
- For those wishing to explore the southern part of the Welland
Canal, a trip through Welland and onto Port Colborne to see Lock 8 can be made by driving
a half hour south.
- Niagara Falls is only a few minutes drive from the Inn at Lock
7.
- The region is also host to many wineries.
