Day starts with Mackinaw hove to in the ice off Gros Cap Light.

The ice holds the Mackinaw's position so anchors are not necessary.

With the Locks opening a steady flow of traffic is expected.

It is Mackinaw's job to see that ice wont delay the traffic.
