From September through April (no meeting in December), the Saginaw River Marine Historical Society meets on the third Saturday of each month, at 7:00 PM, at Trinity Episcopal Church (unless a different location is noted in our schedule), 815 N. Grant (corner of Center Ave. and N. Gra nt St.) in Bay City, Michigan. Please use the Fifth Street entrance at the back of the church. NOTE: Our regular meetings are OPEN TO THE PUBLIC and THERE IS NO CHARGE to attend. Refreshments will be provided.

Free program: "The Mouth of the River"
A historic retrospective of this Saginaw River region. Presented by local historian Jim Watson, author of the Wenona Beach Amusement Park. Jim is also a competitive sailor and recent retiree from Gougeon Brothers.

Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 7:00 PM
Free program: "Great Storms of the Great Lakes"
Paul Lamare is a past port authority manager for Toledo, Ohio, and currently holds that position in Monroe. Paul was a critical leader in saving the Toledo museum ship "Schoonmaker" and in relocating the prestigious "Great Lakes Historical Society maritime museum from Vermilion to Toledo.
