3/23 - Opening Day at the Welland Canal - Phil Nash

Sea Eagle II/Barge St. Marys Cement II departing Lock 7 was the first vessel up bound in the Welland Canal. The Captain received the traditional "Tophat" at Lock 3.

3/22 - Historical Perspectives - William Forsythe

Kenosha, WI hosted the lumber schooner Adriatic and the Steamer Rufus P Ranney between 1889 and 1916 in this postcard. The Ranney was to sink near Florida in 1919.

The A. F. Harvey is photographed in the 1940's. She was converted to a self-unloader and renamed Cedarville. She was rammed and sunk in 1965.

 The Ida Corning is towed past the ornately-designed Michigan Street Bridge in Buffalo, NY in the late 20's

 The William L Brown loads coal at Conneaut, OH between 1911 and 1923.
