Steel single-screw T2-SE-A1 tanker, launched 25 April 1945 at Chester, PA, by the Sun SB&DDCo. as hull no. 469 for the War Shipping Administration. 504 x 68.2 x 39.2; 10296 gt, 6154 nt; steam turbine-electric drive, built by Elliott Co., two Babcock & Wilcox water tube boilers, 7240-shp. Operated by Trinidad Corporation. Sold 1958 to the Pocahontas SSCo., Salem, MA, and converted to a self-unloading bulk carrier. Widened, lengthened, and deepened with a new 107' midbody, New News SB&DDCo.: 613.3 x 75.1 x 47.7; 16304 gt, 12003 nt. Renamed and redocumented *Consolidation Coal* 277514.
