1/23 - Historical Perspective - Brian Wroblewski Buffalo's Michigan St. bridge after being hit by the McGilvary Shiras and the Michael K Tewksbury on January 21st, 1959. The boat in the foreground is Meton E. Farr in Tomlinson colors. You can also see some sort of steam crane equipment & possibly a tug working astern of the crashed ships. That's where the bridge used to be, right across the area near their sterns. For the complete story, see the Today In Great Lakes History - January 22 on the News Page. |
