Frontenac arrived just in time to catch the beautiful light of late afternoon on this the shortest day of the year - Winter Solstice. The end of one season and the beginning of another.

12/23 - St. Lawrence Seaway Traffic - Ron Beaupre

The Finex is loaded with grain from Goderich on her way to the sea.

The Amelia Desgagnés is downbound at Mariatown after delivering a load of pig iron to the Upper Lakes.

The Robinson Bay pushing the barge BPL6704 collects buoys on the US side of the river at Mariatown.

CCGS Griffon lifts a buoy at Canada Island.

On the deck of the CCGS Griffon, the men have another winter spar ready in the chute. They are working their way up the river to the Prescott Coast Guard base.
