3/24 - Easter Sunday at Mission Point - Herm Klein
In the early afternoon on Easter Sunday, a few hardy souls at Mission
Point were treated to a demonstration of ice breaking by the Katmai Bay.
The Ice pack was almost backed up to the path of the Sugar Island Ferry,
and before she went down to six mile to assist the downbound Yankcanuck,
and tug Wilfred M Cohen, the Bay made a few passes in the Little Rapids
Cut. She hit the pack downbound at what looked like full throttle, after
first warning the ferry that she would make a fast pass. |
