Buffalo, N.Y. -

1-English-River-5-16-10-BW.jpg (90299 bytes)
Michigan St. Bridge being raised for the passage of the English River as seen from the passenger platform deck of the old DL&W (Metrorail) Terminal. This was the location that all the famous Lackawanna R.R. passenger trains once departed Buffalo from including the Phobe Snow.

5-English-River-5-16-10-BW.jpg (113996 bytes)
Ohio St. is seen being raised for the English River in case of collision while backing in  because the cement boat will dock almost on top of the bridge pilings to unload at LaFarge.
6-English-River-5-16-10-BW.jpg (184902 bytes)
The #1 boat dog of Buffalo eagerly awaits the arrival of her favorite freighter, the English River.
7-English-River-5-16-10-BW.jpg (90307 bytes)
Washington is done with the tow now, just idling her engines and standing by. The cement carrier is slowly sliding astern along the dock wall to touch up and tie down with ease.
8-English-River-5-16-10-BW.jpg (285324 bytes)
The boat is secure, the tug has been released, and is now heading back upriver to her dock, so it's time to relax and take it all in. Another beautiful sunset evening over Buffalo Harbor and the boat dog seems to be enjoying herself.
