 A few photo opportunities presented themselves while in Hamilton to pick up the Submarine tow.  Ecosse leaving her berth for Heddle's dock.

Another view of the Florence M, formerly the Point Vibert, built in England in 1961. When I worked at the traffic centre at the Strait of Canso she used to be a regular to assist docking the VLCCs that came to the refinery there.

A double-ended ferry in Heddle's drydock.  This is the David Hornell VC, back up ferry for the crossing to Billy Bishop airport on Toronto Island.  Hornell was awarded the Victoria Cross in WW2.  To see more about him visit this site:     Bishop also received the VC and probably was the pilot who shot down the Red Baron.  To see more about Bishop visit this site:

HMCS Haida, now a museum ship, in Hamilton.  The sun was not cooperating this morning.

When Hannah Corp of the US went bankrupt McKiel scooped up two barges and the tug James Hannah.  She is awaiting disposal at McKiel's facility.  Alongside her is the Carrol C I with her company insignia removed.  She was built in 1969 in Texas.

Ocean Golf at her base in Hamilton.  The port of Hamilton is reported to be attempting to move all the tugs out of the port for reasons known only to themselves.  An operational port with no tugs, interesting concept.
