8/15 - Straight Deckers in Hamilton - John McCreery Passing Hamilton on Sunday, August 12, I noticed both Algoma Montrealais and Algoma Quebecois tucked in behind Algolake at Dofasco - something I never expected to see again and likely will never see again. With the thought that the Algoma Provider was also laid up in the harbor decided to go back the next day for another look. I arrived just in time to catch the two still together in the Dofasco slip. Within minutes the Quebecois smoked up and began to back away from the dock. Aside from the Shelley these vessels are the last of a classic line which will too soon be gone.

The Coast Guard Cutter Biscayne Bay arrives in Chicago, Aug. 14, 2012, to help kick off events commemorating the bicentennial of the War of 1812.	This is the second city in the Great Lakes in which the U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Navy and Royal Canadian Navy have visited to mark to the event.
