At the Sidney Smith dock, tanker Algosea is tied up for a while.

In the north slip is the Objiway.  She’s not expected to sail until later in the season.

Also in the north slip is Saginaw and barge Ashtabula.  Both are expected to be out soon.

Part of her bow has been replaced.

Tug Defiance will be mated with Ashtabula.

Lee A Tregurtha headed up for another load of ore.

 

As she made the turn at buoys 1 and 2, the captain gave five short blasts indicating a small boat or two in the way.

With light fading at Sarnia G3 Marquis is headed to Thunder Bay.

Back to the north slip and thanks to Marc Dease I was able to get a few night shots starting with Ojibway. 

 

Tug Defiance.

 Early Saturday morning traffic included Mississagi headed for Lake Erie.

 

Edgar B Speer had to wait at Black River for Mississagi to clear.

Stack on Edzard Schulte - Schulte & Bruns is a stack coming into Seaway since 1959 - now believed to only represent Schulte.
