-Traffic has been steady out of Goderich these last few days, here are the vessels

that have been in since my last report;

ALGORAIL, salt.

ALGOMA PROGRESS, salt, departed at 15:45 today.

ALGOMA TRANSFER, has now shifted over to the Sifto salt mine loading dock and will

load salt.

Thursday September 22nd 2011

-Here are the following vessels that have been into the Port of Goderich since my

last report;

-ALGOMA NAVIGATOR, salt.

-CUYAHOGA, salt. 

-ALGORAIL, is loading salt, she just came out of lay-up in Sarnia.

-ALGOWAY, waiting for ALGORAIL to finish loading.

-Here are the vessels that have been into the Port of Goderich since my last 

report;

CAPT. HENRY JACKMAN, loaded salt.

ALGOSTEEL, is loading salt today at Sifto.

ALGOMA TRANSFER, is waiting in the new harbour for ALGOSTEEL to finish loading.

Thursday September 15th 2011

-Well traffic out Goderich has been very busy considering we just had a tornado 

less then a month ago! The following vessels were in Goderich since my last 

report;

MICHIPICOTEN, loaded grain for Toledo, Ohio.

MISSISSAGI, loaded salt, this is her first visit in a long time.

ALGOMARINE, loaded salt.

Sunday September 11th 2011

-CAPT. HENRY JACKMAN was in on Friday and loaded salt at Sifto, and the PETER R.

CRESSWELL came in at about 13:30 this afternoon and is loading salt, there is 2 

loaders now to load the boats.

-ALGOMARINE is loading salt at Sifto today and FEDERAL PIONEER is loading soy

beans.

Sunday September 4th 2011

-Well today we had are first boat in two weeks, I'm surprised to see one in

already! FEDERAL PIONEER is in Port today and will take on a load of soy beans.

Friday August 26th 2011

-Due to the fact that Goderich got an F3 tornado on Sunday I doubt there will be 

any ships into the Port of Goderich. ALGOMA NAVIGATOR was in during the 

tornado as well as ZEUS/ROBERT F. DEEGAN.

Here are the boats that have been into the Port of Goderich since my last report:

ALGORAIL

CORN HILL, waiting at the old elevators for ALGOMA GUARDIAN to complete loading, 

then will load soy beans.

ALGOMA GUARDIAN, loading wheat at the grain elevators.

**Update**

Tug VIGILANT 1 and her barge have came in with parts for the Bruce Power Plant.

-The following vessels have been into the Port of Goderich since my last report:

CANADIAN PROVIDER, loaded wheat and has departed.

ALGOMA NAVIGATOR, salt.

ALGOMARINE, salt.

ALGOMA TRANSFER, saw it out in the Lake, not sure if it came in or not.

ALGORAIL

Tug VIGILANT 1, have not seen it yet but I heard it was in.




**Update**

ALGOMA TRANSFER came in Thursday evening for a load of salt at Sifto.

CANADIAN PROVIDER, really nice to see her! she came in around 15:00 today after 

sitting out in the lake for a while, it'll take on a load of grain at the 

elevators.

-Well traffic out of Goderich has been slow, since my last report we have had

ALGORAIL visit for a load of salt twice, as well as the ALGOMA NAVIGATOR which is

in today loading salt at Sifto.

Sunday July 24th 2011

-Well traffic in the Port of Goderich this weekend has been good. ALGOMA NAVIGATOR

was in Saturday night and came in at 18:30 to load salt. Today, ALGOWAY is loading

salt, while ALGOMA TRANSFER sits in the new harbour waiting for ALGOWAY to 

complete loading salt.

-Here are the following vessels that have visited the Port of Goderich since my 

last report:

-AMSTELBORG, was in the new harbour area, then moved to the grain elevators, and 

then back to the new harbour, no clue what she's doing.

-MISSISSAGI, loaded salt.

-ALGOSTEEL, loaded salt.

-ALGOMA TRANSFER, departed winter lay-up, and loaded salt before leaving.

-ALGORAIL, is currently loading salt at Sifto.

Saturday June 18th 2011

-Well traffic in the Port of Goderich has been crazy busy! Here are the vessels

that have visited Goderich in the last couple of days:

MIEDWIE (saltie) grain load.

PETER R. CRESSWELL, Sifto salt load.

ALGORAIL, Sifto load.

ALGOWAY, Sifto load, ETD this afternoon.

ALGOWOOD, Sifto load.

AMSTELBORG, sitting in the new harbour area, no clue what she's doing, however, 

I know that she isn't loading grain, waiting for the SAGINAW to finish maybe?

SAGINAW, unloading grain from Thunder Bay.

ALGOMA TRANSFER, now has all of the Algoma markings on her stack and is now 

sitting almost normal compared to a normal vessel on the Great Lakes, she is now

pretty much ready to go.

What a busy last few days for vessels! Let's hope this heavy boat traffic stays 

like this!

-Well traffic was a bit slow this weekend with just the ALGORAIL in on Saturday 

for a load of salt at Sifto. ALGOMA TRANSFER hasn't gotten to much more work done

to it since my last report, she is still in her winter lay-up spot at the North-

east wall in the Goderich inner harbour.

Thursday June 9th 2011

-Tug ZEUS and her barge ROBERT F. DEEGAN are in the new harbour area unloading 

CaCl2.

-ALGOMA TRANSFER, now has her new name on her, as well as the Algoma symbol

by the name on the front on the ship.

Tuesday June 7th 2011

-Here are some vessels that have been in to the Port of Goderich in the last few

days:

MISSISSAGI, loaded at Sifto.

ALGOLAKE, loading at Sifto on Tuesday.

ALGOMA TRANSFER, now has the Algoma symbol on her stack, she is leaving winter

lay-up fairly soon.

it's 5th trip to Goderich this year.

-ALGOBAY came in today at about 17:30 and spun around in the inner harbour 

assisted by tugs Ian Mac, Debbie Lyn, and Donald Burt, it will load salt at Sifto.

-I spotted the MISSISSAGI in Goderich today at 08:00 loading salt at Sifto, this 

her third trip back here from Toledo, Ohio but the first two were loads of grain

to Toledo, this time it's salt.

-CANADIAN PROGRESS was back in today from Detroit, Michigan and as of 08:00 Am she

was loading salt at Sifto.

-CANADIAN PROGRESS arrived into port today from Detroit, Michigan and is loading 

salt at Sifto. 

-CANADIAN TRANSFER is also wintering here.

-CANADIAN PROGRESS came in today in very heavy ice along with SAMUEL RISLEY and 

GRIFFIN an it loaded salt at Sifto. 

-CANADIAN TRANSFER is also wintering here. 

Friday February 4th 2011

-No vessel traffic today but the CANADIAN TRANSFER is still at her winter lay-up 

spot in Goderich, and the ALGOMARINE is just about done her salt runs, so that 

means the 2010 shipping season is over, See you again in March!

-I spotted the ALGOMARINE today at 1530 loading salt at the Sifto salt mine. 

CANADIAN TRANSFER is also in winter lay-up here to.

-I spotted the ALGOMARINE today at 08:20 loading salt at Sifto, and left later in 

very thick ice, bound for Milwaukee. CANADIAN TRANSFER is in winter lay-up.
