Christened at Lauzon, Quebec on July 19, 1961 and sailed on maiden voyage on
July 23rd. Dimensions: 605' 00" loa x 62' 00" beam x
32' 00" depth; 10,061 GRT 8,196 NRT
Cargo capacity 15,900 tons. Power: 4 Fairbanks Morse 8-38D8-1/8 8-cylinder 2
cycle opposed piston diesels rated at 1,500 b.h.p.
each for a total of 6000 s.h.p. Laid up
on April 6, 1990 at Montreal, Quebec never to sail again. Left Montreal in tow on August 2, 1991 and arrived at Cartagena, Colombia on August 26, 1991 for
scrapping.
