for N.M. Paterson & Sons, Ltd., Thunder Bay, Ont. Christened at Lauzon, Quebec on July 19, 1961 and sailed on maiden voyage on July 23rd. Dimensions: 605' 00" loa x 62' 00"
beam x 32' 00" depth; 10,061 GRT 8,196 NRT Cargo capacity 15,900 tons. Power: 4 Fairbanks Morse 8-38D8-1/8 8-cylinder 2 cycle opposed piston diesels rated at 1,500 b.h.p.
each for a total of 6,000 s.h.p. Laid up on April 6, 1990 at Montreal, Quebec never to sail again. Left Montreal in tow on August 2, 1991 and arrived at Cartagena, Colombia
scrapping. |

July 22, 1985. She started loading shortly after arriving. While removing
hatch covers there was an electrical malfunction and the hatch crane
derailed. A crane was called the next day to re-rail it and remove hatch
covers while electrical repairs were made. Easing by the Algoway
