Badger Rechristening
By Max Hanley
Ludington, Michigan's Waterfront Park was the site of a special ceremony May 14, 2003 when the Lake Michigan Carferry Service celebrated the 50th anniversary of the car ferry Badger. With a large crowd in attendance the Badger was re-christened as a bottle of sparkling wine smashed against the bow.
