Another look at the Still Watch.

Some of the letters from the ships previous name are still visible.  Ville Marie.

The Still Watch Watch Cat.

Still Watch has twin Fairbanks Morse diesels.

Here's one.

Here's the other.

Westinghouse propulsion motor.

Looking to the port side of the bridge.

Looking ahead through the spokes of the wheel.  Helm indicator and magnetic compass binnacle.

Looking down at the steering position.  The square with the round hole allows the wheel on the bridge top to be connected so the ship can be steered from above.

The after deck of the Still Watch.
Capstan and emergency steering.

Same telegraphs as on the old Tupper.

Aft of the stack.  Boat davits and auxiliary equipment.

Still Watch and Wendy B.

Still Watch was the CCGS Ville Marie for 27 years before it became a home for wayward youth.  Now it is a cottage of sorts.

Gordon, the shipkeeper, who was kind enough to give me a tour.  Sadly, he passed away about a week later.

Wendy B  in winter layup.
This tug can be seen in many background shots of US movies shot in Toronto.  The owner had her closed up for the winter and was shipkeeping on the Still Watch.
