Charity Auction for a Trip on The Saginaw - Terms & Conditions

Charity Auction for a Trip on the SS Saginaw– Terms & Conditions: Guests must adhere to all company policies and safety procedures.

THIS CRUISE WAS GENEROUSLY PROVIDED TO THE MUSEUM BY THE INTERNATIONAL SHIPMASTER'S ASSOCIATION, GEORGIAN BAY HURONIA LODGE 15, AND ALL PROCEEDS WILL GO TO THE OWEN SOUND MARINE & RAIL MUSEUM.

The freighter crew will be pleased to have you aboard for a lake trip. The following is a brief description:

• The trip will begin at a Great Lakes port. The exact departure port to be determined at a later date.
• Because these are commercial vessels, the actual arrival and departure dates and times may vary.
• As a commercial fleet our vessel boarding procedure is via a 45 foot "Fireman Type" ladder. The ability to negotiate this ladder is mandatory.
• You and your party will be required to sign a Passenger Release form before you sail.
• Because of customer demand, trips often do not end in the same port as they begin. We will try to keep this to a minimum but cannot guarantee the loading port or unloading port will remain definite. Should this occur, the company may be able to assist with return travel arrangements but cannot compensate passengers for additional travel expenses.
• Transportation to and from vessel not included.
• You must keep your schedule very flexible.
• The length of the voyage will be approximately seven days.
• This trip is for two people aged 21 and over, in good health, open to Canadian and US residents.
• This trip is only for the 2007 summer season. The trip may be taken between the months of June and September. Every effort will be made to accommodate the passenger's desired date for the trip but no guarantees can be made.
• Trip is non-transferable.
• Passengers will be served meals in the officers' dining room. All food and beverages are included.
• The uniform of the day is "casual".
• With permission of the ship's Captain, passengers will be shown all areas of the vessel.
• In case of a tie for the highest bid, the earlier bid wins.
