The opening of the Soo Locks (Poe Lock only) has been moved forward to March 21, 2010 at 7AM marking the beginning of the commercial shipping season on the Great Lakes.

The St. Lawrence Seaway including the Welland Canal remain scheduled to open March 25, 2010 marking the opening of the Seaway's 2010 navigation season.

BoatNerd Requests Hardware Donations - BoatNerd is requesting donations of used computer hardware and LCD monitors. We are currently in need of a tablet type laptop and video production equipment. This is a good opportunity for a corporation or individual to recycle equipment while receiving a tax credit by donating to our 501 (c) (3) non profit organization. We would be happy to pick up and wipe the data on any donated machines to DOD standards and we have our own licensed software. We would like any equipment starting with a Pentium 4 level processor or higher and any size LCD monitor. This equipment is used to support various features of the site and also placed in regional museums as kiosk type displays. If you have equipment to donate or if your company has a recycling program please contact us.

Webcams - One of our locations appears to be experiencing a power outage, this effects the webcams at Detroit, Port Huron, Mackinac Island and Marquette.

BoatNerd Requests Hardware Donations - BoatNerd is requesting donations of used computer hardware and LCD monitors. This is a good opportunity for a corporation or individual to recycle equipment while receiving a tax credit by donating to our 501 (c) (3) non profit organization. We would be happy to pick up and wipe the data on any donated machines to DOD standards and we have our own licensed software. We would like any equipment starting with a Pentium 4 level processor or higher and any size LCD monitor. This equipment is used to support various features of the site and also placed in regional museums as kiosk type displays. If you have equipment to donate or if your company has a recycling program please contact us.

BoatNerd Requests Hardware Donations - BoatNerd is requesting donations of used computer hardware and LCD monitors. This is a good opportunity for a corporation or individual to recycle equipment while receiving a tax credit by donating to our 501 (c) (3) non profit organization. We would be happy to pick up and wipe the data on any donated machines to DOD standards and we have our own licensed software. We would like any equipment starting with a Pentium 4 level processor or higher and any size LCD monitor. This equipment is used to support various features of the site and also placed in regional museums as kiosk type displays. If you have equipment to donate or if your company has a recycling program please contact us.
