DETROIT, MI – On Monday, Oct. 19, Gaelic Tugboat Co.’s newest acquisition, the tug Tralee, formerly the Lauren A., was launched at the company’s dock on the Rouge River in Detroit. Tralee was previously owned by White Lake Dock and Dredge in West Michigan. Tralee replaces the tug Patricia Hoey, which made her final run on October 13. In keeping with the company’s Irish heritage, the tug is named after Tralee, a town on the northern side of the neck of the Dingle Peninsula in Ireland, and is the largest town in County Kerry.
