MONTREAL, QC – The bulk carrier Federal Beaufort arriving at the Port of Montreal Friday afternoon from downstream, reportedly struck the tanker Hinch Spirit, which was stationary and moored alongside at Section 35 while receiving bunkers.
The Hinch Spirit reportedly sustained damage to her port quarter and starboard side, while the Federal Beaufort sustained damage to her bow.
No injuries have been reported. Both vessels are currently moored alongside, awaiting divers and an investigation by Transport Canada.
