The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Maritime Administration has awarded $35.18 million to 45 shipyards in 24 states and 1 U.S. territory through the Small Shipyard Grant Program. The funds will help awardees modernize, increase productivity, and expand local employment opportunities while competing in the global marketplace.
