SAULT STE. MARIE, MI – Three cruise ships made stops in Sault Ste. Marie MI, on Wednesday. Victory I was at the Valley Camp dock for most of the day before departing for Mackinac Island. Viking Octantis tied up at the Carbide Dock in the morning, then left just around noon for Algoma, WI, so sister ship Viking Polaris could take the dock. The Polaris departed downbound around 8 p.m. for Mackinac Island. Shops near the Soo Locks and historic locations along Water Street and Portage Avenue enjoyed a boost in business as passengers took group tours of the locks area.
